Pat Carter, singer, songwriter and driving force behind acclaimed Berlin based Americana band Rodeo FM has performed in dingy cellars and at vernissages, at weddings and funerals, in beer tents and nightclubs, at jazz festivals, tenant movement symposiums and demonstrations from London to Charkiw, from Avignon to Stockholm. Along the way, he established his own niche genre - left wing country - or, as the Magazine Folker put it - "Diskurs-Country". Somewhere between Tom Petty, Howe Gelb, J Mascis, Chuck Prophet and Oliver Wood, influenced by Marxist writers like David Harvey or Gregoire Chamayou, Carter tells us how the devil pays the bills and how the bad shit under the carpet just keeps growing...

Pat Carter, driving force der hochgelobten, internationalen Berliner Alt- Country und Americana band Rodeo FM veröffentlicht 2025 sein erstes Solo-Abum. Mit „Love in the time of Capitalism“ wird der Alt-Country Sänger die Brücke zu Indie-Folk und 90s Alternative schlagen. Produziert wird das Album von Thimo Sander (Adel Tawil), gemischt von Tad Klimp (Notwist), die Promo in Deutschland übernimmt Oktober aus Hamburg, international wird High Violet, Manchester das Album pitchen. Im September 2025 geht Pat in DE, FR, CH und AT auf Solo-Tour, um das Album zu promoten. 

 

Mit Rodeo FM hat er vier Alben veröffentlicht und irgendwo in der Größenordnung von 300 Konzerten zwischen London und Charkiv gespielt. Carter wurde als Songwriter mit Tom Petty, Jackson Browne und Jim Croce verglichen, verwurzelt ist er aber im 80s und 90s Crossover von Punk und Country und so hört man bei Carters Auftritten immer Echos von Howe Gelb, J Mascis oder Bob Mould.
 Pat Carters Rodeo FM spielen ihren linksradikalen, gesellschaftskritischen Alt-Country-Americana Mix mit Indie-Rock Attitude seit über 15 Jahren - in Punk-Kellern und auf Vernissagen, auf Hochzeiten und Beerdigungen, in Bierzelten, Weinbergen, Saloons und Nachtclubs, auf Jazz und Rock Festivals, Symposien und Demonstrationen.
